Le grand Ramuz dans ses petits poèmes

The poems written by C.-F. Ramuz, in his first selection, Le Petit Village (1903), are in keeping with his own vision of literature. These poems indeed, can be seen as literary microcosms, whose value is not only aesthetical. They recover a metaphysical lesson, concerning human destiny. This lesson is renewed in Ramuz’s prose, for example in his novel Aimé Pache, peintre vaudois (1905-1911), in which many paragraphs can be read like prose poems.
