La Constance

De Constantia (On Constancy) is Justus Lipsius’s only philosophical treatise. In it, he takes the conception of fate advanced by Seneca and Cicero, adapts it to the demands of Christianity, and grounds constancy in a metaphysical theory. This new translation into French enables Francophone readers to rediscover this major work of the Neostoic movement.
