Abstract: The central part of the eastern Adriatic coast, Dalmatia, has a long and complex history. Tonko Maroević (Split, 1941), poet, art historian and specialist in comparative literature, has synthesized important poetic aspects of past and present in his collection Une ligne de boue, une ligne de mousse (Zagreb, 2013).
