- Abstract: Ever since the appearance of his first poetic collection, La Frontiera, the work of Vittorio Sereni has been in some sense compared and likened to that Eugenio Montale. The authors’ connection has shed light upon the human and artistic experience of the poet from Luino. Indeed, one of the most striking points of likeness with Montale's work derives from the use of Montale's novel in verse by which Sereni has come to define and analyze his own poetry.
