Abstract: Jobs are the area most directly affected by economic and technological changes in society. Taking a diachronic perspective, this study offers a glimpse into the history of agricultural jobs, based on lexicographic analysis. His attention is centred on linguistic definitions as much as the use of examples, so that we can see to what extent the definition aid the reader in an understanding of the jobs being analysed.
