• Abstract: Does teaching political communication have anything to do with dictionaries ? There are not many dictionaries dedicated to the discipline and those which do exist are aimed specifically at students or enthusiasts. They can be useful when considering words used in politics deriving from Ancient Greek, English or even French. Yet students rarely consult them and definitions, moreover, always need to be complemented by reference to history, political science, semiology, and media studies.
