• Abstract: This Quebecois novella was translated in 2008 into Tamil. This article suggests a new approach to translation based on the analogical hermeneutic, the principal of eight correspondences and dharmic interpretation in order to transcend the oppositions between sacred and profane, ­conventional and ­contextual meaning, and meaning/effect of meaning.
