- Abstract: Being forced to flee from Argentina by the dictatorship of the generals, which will decimate his family, Juan Gelman writes poems, in the decade between 1975 and 1985, about exile, in large part under the invocation of Saint Teresa, who plays an leading role in two books, Comentarios and Citas. Exile from the lost plenitude (divinity) of the mystics leads him to create: creating means producing the void so that something might appear there.
