Du symbolisme scénique à la représentation picturale Maurice Maeterlinck et Fernand Khnopff

This article illustrates the dialogue between literature and painting through the example of Maeterlinck and Khnopff, two apostles of symbolism, excited by evocative images and the interactions between the two arts. Their literary and artistic connivance is not limited to artistic transpositions and illustrations, but is also revealed by harmonies between the writer’s œuvre and the artist’s paintings.
