AB  - Valéry’s project Ovide chez les Scythes seems to respond to a desire to open up the paths of La Jeune Parque again, to recall the (physical and spiritual) movements which engendered the poem as if it was a question of explaining it to himself – if not of justifying it in the eyes of its detractors. Borrowing the term from Michel Serres, we adopt the word “ichnography” to label this action of reversal which is destined to rediscover the vestiges of a creation in such a way as to return to the sense and spirit of what initiated it.
