AB  - Terminological indeterminacy and multi-dimensionality in exact sciences are at the heart of this paper. Even though chemistry was endowed with a nomenclature, and attempts at standardising its terminology are made on a regular basis, some key terms in organic chemistry remain vague ; these linguistic units cannot be approached from a conceptual and logical perspective. The paper suggests that exploiting associative relations and especially causal links may yield better results than does the GTT.
