AB  - The intrusion of silence into theatrical material, in which everything is to be spoken aloud on stage, immediately seems paradoxical. On the tragic stage, the silence of pathos, at first invisible for spectators, is not only described but is made into words, poeticised, rendered visible in the sonorous flow of language and renders the absence of rational speech material.
