AB  - To test the strength of the conception of the novel according to Lukács, based on the idea of a confrontation between the ego and a problematic world, and by extending Erich Köhler’s considerations on chivalric adventure, this contribution proposes to implement its main definitional elements in the chivalric narrative, even if Lukács for his part only viewed this as “vast fairy tales.”
