AB  - Connections between economic models and narrative have either been made by economic modellers or epistemologists. This article underlines this ambiguity, reminding us of the differences in language, construction, and temporality between one and the other. The conclusion is that a significant gap remains between the models’ fiction and the realities of history. The proposition, within economics, is to re-evaluate the discursive space of the analysis of concepts, historical narration, and philosophical reflection.
