AB  - Calumny is the principal criticism that has been attributed to Marie de Gournay’s work throughout the centuries, and the bitterness of such condemnations becomes yet more powerful and acerbic when it concerns the author’s poetic production. The present contribution seeks to reveal the considerable role of poetry within the literary framework of this “woman of letters” and to illustrate the import of her ideas in the social and intellectual network of her time.
