AB  - This contribution studies the way the character of the fairy as well as the spectacle of a theatrical fairyland appear in Proust’s Recherche. Evoking not only the world of fantastic stories, but also, even more so, an otherworldly reality whose appearances can change by artifice at any moment, fairyland becomes an important reference point for Proust as he attempts to describe the characteristics of the social world that surrounds him.
