AB  - German is one of the languages in which the path of thought, rather than develop towards the front of the discursive phase, prefers to gather up the enunciation as if in a funnel, accumulating imbrications. Proust’s French often tends towards the funnel too. If the syntactic affinity between German and Proust’s French is undeniable, the two grammatical approaches to time scarcely overlap.
