AB  - Is Du côté de chez Swann actually rather a strange title, formulated in “bad French”? This suspicion, often proffered, invites us to study the different Italian translations of the term côté, in all its acceptations and constructions. The particular degree of coherence between the choices of different translators is observed, whether in the title (as far as the unabridged translations of the volume are concerned) or the text, from a critical and stylistic perspective.
