AB  - The importance of Marin Mersenne’s musical work is undisputed : his acoustic treatises are a landmark in the history of sciences. In 1634, he invents a new science, “psophologie”. The creation of this new “science of sounds” is part of a broader spiritual exploration. This text is a joyful meditation on the beauties of a world which keeps singing the glory of its Creator. As such, it can be read as the expression of a spirituality which expresses itself not only by words, but also by singing.
