AB  - The Continuations of the Conte du Graal are a constant rewriting of the Grail procession scene. This article shows that the conjunction and disjunction of marvellous motifs linked to this scene encode the schemes of continuity and discontinuity constitutive of the poetics of continuation, while delineating the borders of the genre of romance. This is illustrated by the rhyme « romancier »/« recomancier » which signals the capacity of romance motifs to regenerate themselves endlessly.
