At the same time, it moves the genre in the direction of the “sentimental” understood in the sense of a reflective representation –at once symbolic and interrogative, derived from Schiller more than Rousseau– of political and aesthetic (literary and pictorial) mediations which are positioned between the subject and a nature whose paradigm has been lost.
