AB  - The apparent heterogeneity of the corpus of Schehadé’s theatrical works disappears as soon as one perceives the structure of the itinerary-play which, in the image of Peer Gynt by Ibsen, dramatizes the journey of a hero faced with a succession of challenges. In the work of Schehadé, there is almost always a departure and an arrival. This structure is visible in the journey of Christopher, the hero of Voyage. It is particularly rich in Monsieur Bob’le and La Soirée des proverbes where it resonates with Biblical symbolism.
