AB  - In this article, the author, a translator, presents a typology of the difficulties faced when translating Zīr Sālim et Dr Faust, a play by the ­contemporary Lebanese playwright Chakib Khoury. He also describes the strategic practices adopted as solutions to these problems, notably that of diglossia, and of aligning these strategies with translation theories.
