AB  - Since the 1980s, Hebrew literature has been translated more and more frequently in France. Yet theatre hardly features in this flux of translations. In this ­context, the case of Honokh Levin is exceptional: in fact, some ten works which group together his translated plays have been produced. If the importation of Hebrew literature is often linked to an interest in ­contemporary politics, the presence of Levin in France attests instead to a valorisation of the universal dimension of his œuvre.
