AB  - In Al-Ḥafīda al-Amīrikiyya, Zeina returns to Iraq as a translator accompanying the American army, after fifteen years spent in the United States. Confronted by her grandmother who considers any collaboration with the American forces as a betrayal, Zeina is led to question her convictions and interrogate her affiliations. In her time spent in Iraq, watched by the Other, her identity is fragmented and decomposed.
