AB  - Questions about « place » mark the entire œuvre : the « fatality » of destiny opposes social position to the natural state and reconstructed ideal. The aim of this contribution is to show how memorial writing seeks to re-establish this place of origins through different strategies : by staging the « wrong place » obsessively and by proposing various compensations : either travelling, imaginary escape, or the reconstruction of an ideal « sojourn ».
