AB  - The countries of the Mediterranean basin share a plural idiomaticity. This article considers intralinguistic and extralinguistic idiomaticity. It describes a literary corpus (works by the Tunisian writer Ali Douaji translated from Arabic into French) in order to reflect on the existence of a “Mediterranean” idiomaticity, considering linguistic notions such as phraseology, stereotyping, naming, and borrowing.
