AB  - Lexical analysis of Dino Campana’s work shows that he is the Italian poet who, during the first half of the last century, used the word mediterraneo the most. This is truly surprising if one considers his reputation for being a Nordic, barbaric, and Germanic poet. Genoa is the Mediterranean city that the poet from Marradi loved the most. “Barche amorrate” is the title of one of his poems where the word amorrate comes from the Genoese dialect.
