AB  - With a contrastive approach, this article shows how fixed expressions represent specific cultural signifance by referring to a corpus of fixed sequences in two languages that are typologically distant from one another: French and the Tunisian dialect of Arabic. It insists on the idiomatic character of these expressions in the two languages. The objective is to show how each language offers different images to present the same concept or the same idea.
