AB  - The novels of Tanguey Viel make the “home” the nerve centre of his writing. The home is the heart of the family, in which the maternal figure is cruelly dramatised; it she who burns her son’s manuscript in Paris-Brest. Destruction and manipulation are the elements which structure the archaic foundations of the family house in the writer’s œuvre. Through his narratives, the author questions the identity of the subject haunted by ghosts and false appearances.
