However, the logos ­conceals an internal violence which manifests itself in its function of labelling the world. In Worstward Ho, words also make an impression on the world which they attempt to reduce as much as possible, in order to attain nothingness. But this violence is thwarted by the revolt of affects, and by the invention of a language of counter-violence at the very heart of the first discourse, which thus suffers this violence.
