AB  - The “languages of ash” which frequent Patrick Kermann’s plays echo those which run throughout Paul Celan’s poems : they are there to bear witness to the scandal of the extermination of Holocaust victims, but also, and above all, the erasure of the traces which could attest to their presence. Taking the funerary aspect of language into account, these authors deny the impossibility of a language which could convey the extent of the disaster.
