AB  - This article is based on a diachronic reading of Bataille’s œuvre as a whole and on the assumption that fictional works are preparatory, experimental versions of an intuition to be subsequently theorized. This theory finds its fulfilment in La Part maudite. In order to prove this, let us follow the evolution of the solar image. Bataille’s poetics would therefore offer a means to achieve a substitute of this unreachable horizon, thanks to the imaginary power of fiction.
