AB  - The author has discovered a previously unknown letter by the Baron d’Holbach in the Suard Collection at the Voltaire Institute and Museum, Geneva. Written while in England, and addressed to Suard (1732-1817), this letter provides us with information about the Baron’s English trip, previously only documented in Diderot’s correspondence, and also a little-known aspect of the links between Holbach and the journalist. It testifies, moreover, to the sense of disillusionment which affected part of the French intelligentsia at this time, in relation to the English model.
