If the ­bât’ ­d’Af are abundantly present in colonial literature, the colonised imaginary has retained little of the 14-18 episode, and, where it has, it is presented in a largely negative way. These three works speak of the suspicion weighing on any testimonial relating to the Great War in the Maghreb.
