AB  - The function of music master and that of prebendal canon were distinct. At the collegiate church of Dole, the charge of maître was merged with that of prebendal canon. Its holder could not be dismissed in case of failing to meet his obligations. This singular status is examined here through the example of Prothade Amidey.
