AB  - In Saint-Aubin d’Angers around the year 1150, Benedictine monks were gaining renown for a significant body of hagiographic and historiographic work. In addition to chronicles and annals, two works remain which were produced shortly after 1150: a Vie de Girard, a hermit-monk of the abbey, and a Chronique attributed to Méron. This article shows that these two anonymous authors also made use of the chartrier and the cartulary of their establishment by drawing on some of their material, adapting it to align with their two narrative projects.
