AB  - After recalling the tragic circumstances, both personal and historic, under which Lamennais thought out and composed Paroles d’un croyant, this article shows how the poetic inspiration of the text is close to that of psalms in their verse scansion, imagery, stylistic devices, and rhythm. The author uses fulgurating visions and, like a prophet, calls for the creation of a new world.
