AB  - This novel interrogates the cultural foundations of pro-Franco Spanish society, steeped in Catholic morality, while exploring the trajectory of an individual who redefines his masculinity and becomes the lesbian lover of a female character. This study seeks to circumscribe the limits of contemporary Spanish democracy in terms of gender rather than Catholic morality and offers a reading which expands the sphere of possibilities for contemporary masculinities.
