The hero is twisted with such pain that makes him cry to death several times during the play. This article shows that his calling of death meets blind ends, touching the structure and the arguments of the play. Nevertheless, committing suicide is impossible to realize; the gods wish that the Greeks conquer Troy with his arms. Could the hero’s thoughts on death find an echo in the modern world?
