Indeed, heroes may prevail over their enemies if they turn their suicides into agressions, and if all the characters consider those suicides as specific and sovereign actions. Howewer, this is only possible if the playwright dissociates military and politic victories. In that respect, all those conditions can only be found in Benserade's Cléopâtre, even though the protagonist's victory there is only temporary.
