AB  - This article demonstrates the ethos of the jubilatory violent narrator, that Chevillard’s texts ingeniously elaborate, through the use of the category of virulence. The narrator of the Vaillant Petit Tailleur uses digression and sabotage to upset the “meccano of the short story”. But one can superimpose the ethos of the author onto that of the narrator by taking into account the texts (interviews, journal, and essay) where the “I” is authorial.
