AB  - This article analyses the pragmatic functioning of the principal enunciative configurations in the novels of Éric Chevillard (metadiscursive commentaries, metalepsis, ruptures of tone and referential chains, pastiche, irony, “heterophony”, etc.), taking Palafox as its privileged corpus. It demonstrates a paradoxical defence and illustration of literature in its half-ethic, half-aesthetic power of disengagement from all forms of linguistic and mental congealing.
