AB  - In his two poetic essays, Le Versant animal and Le Parti pris des animaux, J.-C. Bailly questions the boundary that has been drawn between man and animal. At its core, his thought concerns a vision of the meeting place between multiple interior universes. For Bailly, humankind can grasp the fact that it is not alone in contemplating the world and glimpse other ways of living in it. Our true encounter with animals comes by way of meditation; without them, we lose the soul and the poetry of the world.
