AB  - Quite often adapted by early filmmakers, the novels by Alphonse Daudet stopped appearing on screens from the beginning of the second half of the twentieth century. This article aims to identify the causes behind this loss of interest and proposes in conclusion several ways for Daudet’s novels of manners, in particular, to attract once again the attention of the various actors involved in audiovisual production.
