AB  - In its capacity as a mode of preventing and regulating differences of opinion, mediation affirms itself as an alternative to the recourse to State jurisdiction. Based on the lived experience and practice of a mediator, this article analyses the links between mediation and humanism, underlining the virtues of this alternative mode of regulating differences in order to humanise conflict.
