TY - EJOUR A1 - Brock, Julie TI - La prière de l’amour - Traduire les deux sens de kohu, « prier » et « aimer », dans un poème du Man'yôshû T2 - Des mots aux actes 2017, n° 6. Traduire le sacré JO - Des mots aux actes (ISSN 2592-690X), 6, 2017 DO - 10.15122/isbn.978-2-406-06256-1.p.0339 SN - 2592-690X SP - 339 EP - 351 AB - The starting point of the article is the word yûtatami, a piece of folded fabric given as a divine offering. In poetry, this word is a “pillow word,” used most often with Tamuke-yama. Tamuke-yama indicates a division between the cultivated and non-cultivated world, and yûtatami is a mediation between sacred and profane domains. The link between spirituality and love in Man’yôshû is one of the challenges of translation.
