AB  - The autonomy of the sentence in its capacity as a citation is often discussed, particularly in terms of re-contextualizing what has been extracted from a text. If we adopt a multiple position in relation to detached utterances, aphorisation emerges not as a marginal phenomenon reserved for an archaic stage of humanity or consciousness, but is instead inscribed in linguistic functioning. It has many varied faces, depending on the historical configurations in which it participates.
