AB  - Tristan’s poetics meet certain formal requirements that entail an ethic of concealment. This is an ethic that can make rhetoric, physics and politics appropriate domains for the art of speaking in figurative language. His use of concetto forces the reader to attempt to interpret the text in a way that is compatible with the founding principle of the Italian Concettist tradition, which takes “form” and ingenious composition to be the same thing. These “creations of the spirit” are indeed quite different from “flourishes” and encourage a review of the status of style and verse.
