AB  - The author presents the illuminated manuscripts of the Ovide moralisé according to the type of iconographic programme: in the verse version, it is possible to distinguish between the “narrative” programme which follows the legendary accounts and their allegories; that limited to the fifteen images of classical gods at the beginning of each book; and, lastly, the programme which only offers a frontispiece illustration. With regards to the prose, the BnF fr. 137 manuscript is the most richly illustrated, and certain editions also include images.
